Brayford
School
The new children have all settled in well at the school this term. The
infants recently spent an energetic and enjoyable morning at the school
Tarka Tennis event.
You may have seen the posters for the Bingo Evening at the Village Hall on
the 28th November. This is to raise money to purchase a video
camera for the school. Please come along and bring a friend or two, it
should be a great evening. The House of Fun Theatre Co. visited the school
on 25th November and performed a play called ‘Lost Lionel’,
and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The play is linked to their
work this term.
The Children will once again be going to see the Pantomime at the Queens
Theatre for their Christmas treat at the end of this term.
The Children will be singing Carols on Wednesday 3rd December
at the Village Coffee Morning and at the Christmas Carol Service on Monday
15th December at the High Bray Church, starting at 6.30pm,
everyone is welcome.

Deacon Rona is
a regular visitor to us at Boomerangs and we'd like to give her special
thanks for her time. She recently enjoyed a 'Tractor visit' with us. Thanks
to Oliver Jemmison for bringing his tractor in.
Deacon Rona's Beasties, Bugs and Butterflies party on 31 October 2008
at the Village Hall was enjoyed by all of the children who were in fancy
dress. Lots of laughter, games, activities and meeting the 'Bug Man' and his
creepy crawlies made for a fun packed evening – Thank you Rona.
New Assistant
– we welcome Samanatha Short to Boomerangs Pre-School as our new
Assistant; who joined us in September 2008. Sam is well known to our
children already as she is also Daisy and Florence's nanny. Sam gained her
qualifications in child care at Mid Devon College. Best wishes in your new
post from us all at Boomerangs.
Gardening – our children have
recently enjoyed planting a variety of bulbs and pansies in the tubs at the
front of the Village Hall. We hope that this will provide some springtime
colour for you all to enjoy.
Topics that our children will be
learning about this term are 'understanding feelings' and Christmas.
Boomerangs children will be taking part in the Brayford Primary School's
carol service at High Bray Church on Monday 15 December 2008 at 6.30pm;
so we do hope you will come and join us for this special event.
