Curriculum

 
Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stages:
 
    1.     Communication, language and literacy.
    2.     Personal, social and emotional development.
    3.     Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy.
    4.     Knowledge and understanding of the world.
    5.     Physical development.
    6.     Creative development
 
Each half term, our pre-school leader sets a topic, for example, Space or Water or Shoes. She then adapts activities to meet the curriculum so the children can learn about the topic in a fun and stimulating way.
 
Special Events:  We also like to organise special events for the children. These have included: Visit to Barnstaple Fire Station, Investigating Rock Pools with an Exmoor Ranger, Visit to the Dinosaur Park.
