OUR AIMS

1. To meet the diverse needs of children
Our aim is to meet the individual needs of all children who join Brayford Boomerangs; delivering personalised learning, development and care. All children are listened to and respected and families are welcomed, included, valued and encouraged to participate.

2. Partnership working
We aim to work with parents to support children by providing parents with regular information about activities undertaken by their children and by encouraging parents to participate in the supporting of the group and their children. This is a two way process.

3. Flexible provision
We seek to take account of differing needs of individual children and their families by allowing children to attend part session or just one session a week.

4. Play
Children are given the opportunity to play indoors and outdoors on a regular basis.
We are able to use the outdoor play area next to the Boomerangs premises. Play underpins all development and learning for young children. It is through play either spontaneously or with adult support that they develop intellectually, creatively, physically, socially and emotionally.

5. Quality Improvement
Time and resources are regularly allocated to consider how best to create, maintain and improve our setting; so that we might meet the highest standards and offer the best experiences for your children. We carry out regular risk assessments. We employ well qualified and experienced staff who are supported in undertaking CPD training wherever possible. These staff are supported by parents on a rota basis to ensure an excellent pupil to staff ratio. We keep accurate records and monitor our information and data.

6. Transition
We work closely with the Recept
ion Teacher and Head Teacher of Brayford Primary School to ensure a seamless induction process for those children joining Brayford Primary. We also work with parents and other settings to which children may transfer, to achieve the same result.
This is invaluable for all rising 5’s about to start school to experience a school atmosphere and environment.
